Who we are…
We are a husband and wife team of chartered accountants working from our home in Chalfont St Peter.
We both qualified in the late 1980s with a big 5 London firm of accountants, then both left to work in finance and management roles in commercial organisations until Tony set up the practice in 2001, with Carolyn joining him in partnership two years later. In 2008 we began trading under the name of Orion Accountancy Limited.
What we do…
We specialise in providing tax and accountancy services to small businesses. Many small business owners approach us needing advice when they are starting up their businesses, and we are happy to guide them through this difficult period. Others have been trading for many years and are looking for reliable tax advice and accounting support at an affordable price. The fact that we are local to many of our clients makes it easy to drop by to discuss issues face to face as well as by phone or email.
Many of our clients like the fact that we can offer an all-round accounting service, from bookkeeping and VAT, to payroll, through to accounts and tax returns, plus many other services too. We also operate on a fixed fee basis with unlimited telephone support, which gives clients the reassurance of being able to contact us to discuss any issues as they arise during the year.
We are large enough to be professional in our outlook and in our dealings with you, yet small enough to be friendly and approachable.

Some clients prefer to work with real paper documentation and manual systems. As well as accommodating their needs by offering more traditional accounting reports and methods for these clients, we can also offer electronic reports and cloud accounting solutions to those clients who are on the move all the time and want access to their business information wherever and whenever they need it.
